When I find a hidden gem I find it difficult to give a good review. This is purely selfish, because if my review is given credence by those looking at the venue then I’m likely to find it difficult to secure my booking for the next visit. The Fox is one of those gems! I cannot rate it more highly! 5 stars really, for me doesn’t do justice to our visit on November 9th. The service provided by Lauren and the front of house team was excellent whilst not being intrusive. The Inn was busy with a majority of the tables occupied. The greeting we received was heartfelt and we all felt that we genuinely welcome. The menu was an excellent mix to suit all tastes, our table of 7 typically challanged Phil and kitchen crew by ordering across the range both the starter and main courses. The meals arrived together and the plates were HOT. What impressed me was how reasonably priced the meals were, the wine list was sensible as well, which makes a changes. The food was exceptional the service impeccable and the ambience congenial. We will return of that there is no doubt! Thanks Lauren, Phil and crew for making my B’Day meal so special Nigel Taylor. less

Met with friends for a long overdue Sunday lunch. Service was excellent as was the food Dogs made welcome Will definitely visit again less
Great location, winding Country roads suddenly leads to the pub. Very busy! Accommodated our late booking which was great. Whilst the Sunday lunch was very good the veg was very boring and what I'd eat at home - supermarkets sell the same selection in microwave bags! These days a selection, maybe served family style, red cabbage, cauliflower cheese, sprouts, roasted carrots/parsnips. The roast potatoes were fantastic. Would have loved a yorkshire with the lamb. Overall very enjoyable and would return. less
Everything about our visit was excellent - the food, the service, the ambience. We meet up annually, travelling over 30 miles, because we like the venue and the staff. less
